But let’s start with Metro Flex, Metro by T-Mobile’s new prepaid plans that promise to give customers free phones. This is a bit ironic considering that T-Mobile, alongside AT&T and Verizon, have been recently fined for misleading customers regarding their unlimited data plans and free phones offers.
In any case, here is how the new Metro Flex prepaid plans work:
- Switch to Metro and sign up for a Metro Flex plan.
- Get a free 5G phone when you join.
- Every 1, 2, or 3 years, trade in an old phone in working condition and choose from the same Metro Flex deals as new customers (including Metro’s best deals on devices from top brands like Apple, Samsung, Motorola and REVVL).
Now, the important part is that Metro Flex comes with no contracts, no credit checks, and no surprises. The new prepaid plans offer unlimited talk, text, and 5G smartphone data on T-Mobile’s 5G network.
Additionally, Google One 100GB and free stuff and deals will be offered every week through T-Mobile Tuesdays. Finally, Amazon Prime is included with Metro Flex Plus (a savings of $14.99/month),
The new Metro Flex prepaid plans will be available from May 16. Here are the prices:
- Metro Flex Start – $50
- Metro Flex Up – $60
- Metro Flex Plus – $70
The main differences are that the cheapest plan, Metro Flex Start, doesn’t have unlimited text to other countries, and the most expensive one, Metro Flex Plus, is the only one that includes Amazon Prime.
